A Double Blessing

On Sunday we had the pleasure of blessing our two newest Grandchildren, Camden & Ashlyn and that evening we all gathered at Gina & Jackson's house for dinner that was great. It really was a wonderful day.

Memorial Day 2010

Mother and I went to join the group at the Mesa Cemetery on Memorial Day we were late and caught up with them at The Russell's Plot. This year there was a little mix up and we didn't make to Marilyn's for breakfast. We did meet Amber and Jacey at Crackers (no pics) and had a great day relaxing at home.

Ellie was in a good mood

We saw Mother's cousin Steve Huffaker with his wife, daughter and baby at Great Grandmother Huffaker's plot

The Dance

Yesterday Mother and I went to Coolidge to help with Darrel & Missy's children while she prepared for her dance class recital. We had a great time and the little kids danced their feet off. I took a few pictures and made a collage.

Mother's Day 2010

This Mother's Day we had a small group over for dinner. Grant, Velma, Dennis, Mike, Dianne, Charlyn, and Me. It was really a good day and dinner was great. Grandma Skousen came by to show off her picture of her and Grandpa that Lynn had made up as a gift. Great picture. I took a picture of Dianne, Velma, & Mother.

This is a Table runner that Charisse made with graphic art by Carson, new window plants and a CD from Delaina, flowers from Dad and Cards.

Fathers & Sons

This last Friday and Saturday I went with Darrel, Kaden and Brant to their Fathers & Sons outing up behind Roosevelt Lake and I had a great time. I didn't have to keep an eye on anyone and spent most of my time in Darrel's nice tent on my air mattress in the cool pines enjoying. I hope that I didn't seem like a party pooper because I didn't get out and run around, but to me it was great. I got a greater appreciation for two of my grandsons especially Brant who was fascinated by my gold tooth and snuggled with grandpa under the blanket.

Friday morning after everything was set up Darrel earned a rest.

Kaden was a good helper and could hardly wait for his friends to arrive.

Brant kept wanting to take his shoes off, but he kept them on most of the time.
Thanks Darrel

Utah Trip

We made our pit stop at the Dam and I took a picture of Mother and Grandma Skousen
If you notice in the upper part the sky was beautifully clear and the only cloud we saw was above San Fransisco Peaks outside of Flagstaff and yes I said cloud.

That was the last clear sky we would see for awhile because after we hit the freeway in Utah the snow started coming down and it didn't stop all the way to Delaina's house. At times it was so bad that we could barely see in front of the truck and it didn't help that the wiper blades were jamming with ice. I thought that Grandma Skousen, who was sitting in the front was going to get a kink in her neck from trying to look out the only tiny clear spot on the windshield. Our top speed at times was 15 mph on the freeway and it really hurt to pass signs posting maximum speed 80 mph. We were all blessed and arrived safely were we ever glad.

Mother and I were able to stop by the Provo Temple and take a couple of Pictures of where we were Married this year being 36 years ago. It really seems like yesterday.

On Sunday Delaina had a Costa Vita feast better than going to any restaurant and she filled her home with friends and family. Just a note from Dad; it really is a great feeling when people come up to you and tell you just how special they think your children are, and I always tell them that they take after their Mother.
