We made our pit stop at the Dam and I took a picture of Mother and Grandma Skousen
If you notice in the upper part the sky was beautifully clear and the only cloud we saw was above San Fransisco Peaks outside of Flagstaff and yes I said cloud.
That was the last clear sky we would see for awhile because after we hit the freeway in Utah the snow started coming down and it didn't stop all the way to Delaina's house. At times it was so bad that we could barely see in front of the truck and it didn't help that the wiper blades were jamming with ice. I thought that Grandma Skousen, who was sitting in the front was going to get a kink in her neck from trying to look out the only tiny clear spot on the windshield. Our top speed at times was 15 mph on the freeway and it really hurt to pass signs posting maximum speed 80 mph. We were all blessed and arrived safely were we ever glad.
Mother and I were able to stop by the Provo Temple and take a couple of Pictures of where we were Married this year being 36 years ago. It really seems like yesterday.
On Sunday Delaina had a Costa Vita feast better than going to any restaurant and she filled her home with friends and family. Just a note from Dad; it really is a great feeling when people come up to you and tell you just how special they think your children are, and I always tell them that they take after their Mother.
Love Dad
