A New Woman
Friday night Mother and I went to a reception for Michael Spohn a young man in our ward and Mother has been Sis. Spohns visiting teacher for some time. It had been a long day and we were in a hurry so she got out the new Hair (see earlier posting). She looked great as always and we were off. Many members of our Ward attended and everyone that Mother met commented on her hair, everyone. Michael, the groom, said "Wow Sis. Skousen what have you done to your hair it looks fantastic." After we left Mother wondered if her regular hair looked so bad. You know we carry a look and become comfortable with it and for years we resist change so why are we surprised when we receive comments on a new radical change. When we first got married Mother had long beautiful hair and even some extensions to make it longer. Post children her hair has been kept short, but let me say that a Beautiful woman remains beautiful no matter what!! I Love You Dear

Memorial Day 2009
After we moved back down to Arizona in 1987 Grandma Skousen bribed anyone who wanted to get up early and go to put flowers on the graves on Memorial Day with Breakfast. Over the years it's gotten to expensive to go to JB's so the last two years we've gone to Max and Marilyn's house and had a much better breakfast than JB's. It's very moving for me to see the Grand and Greatgrand Kids going to see the grave sites. We end up at Daddy's. Families are Forever.
